Most people are really excited about the food we offer. I like working on the cash register too, because I get to chat it up with our guests. The team is like family! We have gotten really close, and hang out after work. The best part about working for Beyond is the people. Sometimes it gets pretty stressful when it's busy. I've learned a lot about different types of healthy foods and supplements while working at Beyond, and about working as a team - this is key to getting through the crazy lunch rush. The training was OK, and mostly on the job learning by doing, like making smoothies with another barista to help show you how. It's different almost every day, and I like the variety because it keeps me on my toes, and I never get bored. Seems from other reviews of this location, this behavior of the other workers is quite common, just wanted to note this pattern still exists.Ī typical day at work depends on what station you are assigned to. Just wish it could’ve worked out as I love the place and it’s values, but just couldn’t handle the environment. Like any mistake would result in a passive aggressive comment and tension created for no reason.īut I’d like to acknowledge the fact that the owner is sweet and made me feel very comfortable at first, but once starting to actually work, the other workers just made a lot of tension and made it stressful to learn and fit in essentially. There was also a lack of communication when doing literally anything, fueling the feeling of being left out. There was always a loom of passive aggressiveness amongst certain managers, like any mistake would literally get you looked down upon and treated differently. I felt very left out and out of place constantly. Walking into this job I honestly felt that it would go well and felt the company was something I would learn to love and appreciate.īut as time went by and I had shifts, I learned there was a lot of bias throughout the workers and sort of “clicks” if you get what I mean.
